The Best SAT Prep Course

September 24, 2008

SAT Prep is big business these days and if you’re serious about your son or daughter scoring well on the SAT exam, it’s critical that you get them the SAT Test Study Guide from Morrison Media. This was the single best investment I ever made in my child’s future. The book was available electronically immediately after purchase. Better still, it was written in a way that propelled my son through the material. As I checked in with him, I realized he was unlocking the keys to the exam – – in all reality learning how to beat the SAT. He was satisfied and I was satisfied with his progress. This was definitly a better ROI on this product thant on most others I could imagine – as local SAT prep courses started at $500.00 (and the morrison book was way less than $100). Needless to say, my son did very well on the exam and his score jumped up from what we had been expecting. Please, if you read this and have questions about the program – - please don’t hesitate to ask.

SAT Scores Are Not A Predictor of Future Success…

June 23, 2008

I just found this great article on the SAT standardized admission tests over at the Online College Blog.  Clearly, many admissions departments are failing society when they place such incredible weight and import on the SAT test. It turns out the new SAT is just as bad as the old SAT.  Please let me know what you think.

Bad SAT Score? Average Score? Low Score?

May 5, 2008

Don’t fear bad SAT scores. Worse things have happened.  Activities and recommendations can balance low SAT scores. It’s all important to realize that with a less than great score, admission to many of the top universities in America is still possible. Yes, for sure, unless you’re a legacy or very very wealthy – Harvard and Yale might be out – but there are still hundreds of other top notch schools that will nearly guarantee great job prospects for graduates and deliver a top notch education.  Baby Ivies, mid to smaller size liberal arts schools and underrated state universities immediately come to mind.  It will be important to do lots of research to make sure that you navigate the best possible path for you our your student.  If you need help don’t hesitate to post a comment below or join me on my ultra low cost teleseminar. On the call, I’ll answer all your questions!
